Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you use VetEvolved, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Email address and password (encrypted) when you create an account.
  • Profile Information: Name, phone number, city, state, LinkedIn URL, military branch, rank, MOS/AFSC, and years of service that you voluntarily provide.
  • Uploaded Documents: Military evaluation documents (NCOERs, OERs, EPRs, FITREPs) that you upload for AI processing.
  • Generated Content: Resumes, role matches, and LinkedIn profiles generated by our AI pipeline.
  • Usage Data: Basic analytics about how you interact with the service (page views, feature usage).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to provide and improve the VetEvolved service:

  • Processing your military evaluations through our AI translation pipeline.
  • Generating civilian-ready resumes, role matches, and LinkedIn content.
  • Pre-populating your contact information on generated documents.
  • Sending transactional emails (password reset, email verification).
  • Improving the accuracy and quality of our AI translation engine.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant platform with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement row-level security (RLS) policies ensuring that only you can access your own data. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plaintext.

4. AI Processing

Your uploaded military evaluations are processed through our AI pipeline using third-party AI services (such as OpenAI). Document content is sent to these services solely for the purpose of generating your career translation materials. We do not use your documents or personal information to train AI models.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data only:

  • With AI service providers as necessary to process your translations.
  • If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of VetEvolved or its users.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data through the Settings page.
  • Edit your profile information at any time.
  • Delete all your data permanently through the "Delete All My Data" option in Settings. This action is immediate and irreversible.
  • Export your generated materials (resumes, LinkedIn content) as PDF downloads.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
